JB drums up Chakwera support at home

What was meant to be Eid celebration, turned out to be a massive political rally drumming up support for the duo of Tonse Alliance, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his running mate Saulos Klaus Chilima.
As part of celebrating Eid with people from her village Kalembo and Manja, Domasi in the area of Traditional Authority, T/A Malemia in Zomba former President Dr. Joyce Banda invited the people for lunch.
After lunch, the villagers could not hold it but asked the former head of state who also happens to be People’s Party leader, to address them.
Dr. Banda accepted their call and addressed a huge gathering that converged at Msigalira School ground.
Msigalira is a free nursery, primary and secondary school established by Dr. Banda to assist orphans and the needy in the area.
Dr. Banda called upon people who gathered at the venue to vote for a pair of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his running mate Saulosi Klaus Chilima.
Banda said Chakwera and Chilima carries a flag of shared vision for Malawi and all political parties in the Tonse Alliance.
She said economic transformation, agriculture, education, health and many more issues that borders around a common Malawian are a priority for Chakwera and Chilima.
The former Malawi leader said it is her conviction that Tonse Alliance will bring back a unified Malawi regardless of tribe, culture, political, religion or any other inclination.
She asked for respect for chiefs and their independence in a quest to attain and maintain Malawi’s cultural and inheritance diversity.
Dr. Banda reteriated her call for political inclusion and diversity denouncing politicians who are riding on religious divide to score political and selfish motives.
On Saturday, Dr. Banda will be joined by Tonse Alliance pair of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and Saulos Chilima at a mega rally slated for Namadidi in Zomba Changalume constituency.
