Mia sure of speedy fertilizer transportation into Malawi

In readiness for the 2020/2021 growing season, farmers can lest be assured to access fertilizers right on time as Minister of Transport and Public Works Muhammed Sidik Mia is in the neighbouring Mozambique to facilitate speedy transportation of the goods.
Speaking from the port of Nacala, Mia said his presence in Mozambique will among other things, accelerate the clearence process of the fertiliser consignment as well as the transportation of the goods from the ports into Malawi.
At the port of Nacala, as seen in the picture, Mia was in the company of his Mozambican counterpart, Minister of Transport and Communication, Janfar Abdulai, as the two are working hand in hand to effectively achieve the speedy process.
Mia also indicated that from Nacala, he will travel to Beira where he would specifically tour the Sena Corridor in a follow up to the agreement between Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera and the Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi during their meeting some 3 weeks ago while in Tete, Songo and Cabora Basa.
During his tour to Mozambique, President Chakwera and President Nyusi had discussed about the opening of the Sena Corridor.
According to Mia, his tour to Beira has a long term importance to the development of Malawi as he would take the opportunity to negotiate further on the anticipated opening of the corridor.
