Minister Msungama says CAF games going no where

Minister of sports Ulemu Msungama has hinted that Malawi will hosts CAF games contrary to social media reports which claims that CAF has banned Bingu National stadium from hosting international games.
Speaking in Lilongwe during a media briefing, Msungama said his Ministry has parrnered with FISD Company to where irrigation is currently taking place.
“This Stadium is going to take its shape as you are aware the stadium was turned into quarantine hospital early this year. This Ground will be busy once these works are done.” He said.
Msungama disclosed that FISD has drilled a borehole at the stadium which has reduced the water bills from K5Million to K1Million.
Meanwhile Msungama has disclosed that Malawi tend to benefit alot from the Japan trip which he undertook contrary to what some quarters of the society have been peddling.
Msungama said while in Japan , he held very importance and fruitful meetings with various stakeholders in sports circles.
Msungama undertook a trip to Japan for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games,which started on 23rd July and will end on 8th August, 2021 and from there Msungama attended the African Union Sports Council Region 5, Council of Ministers Troika Meeting which was held in Maseru, Lesotho from 31st July 2021 to 1st August, 2021.
Msungama said while in Japan he first met the Deputy Minister of Education, Youth, Sports Science and Technology in Japan, Mr. Hidehiro Mitami, on 22nd July, 2021.
He said this meeting enabled Malawi and Japan to cooperate and work together in promoting Sports development in the two countries with focus on promotion of School sport, infrastructure development, capacity building of sport personnel and exchange programmes between the two countries.
