Mwenefumbo helps granny fight covid-19 through decent house donation

Former member of Parliament for karonga central constituency Frank Mwenefumbo has on Thursday donated a house to 85 year old Longola Mwamangwe of Mwanyesha village in karonga district to help in a covid-19 pandemic fight.
According to Mwenefumbo, through his businesses he has planned to build houses for all old people in his constituency as a step to help them observe the preventions measures of the pandemic.
He says, the old people are the victims of covid 19 and being in a decent house will help them to curb the disease.
“I do different businesses and I feit obliged to plough back to the society in building decent houses to the old people who are living in a dilapidated houses and in a very inhumane condition,” said Mwenefumbo.
” This decision follows the pic of the pandemic of covid-19 in our country where the old are susceptible to it as such being in a decent and affordable house is the only way to help them observe the measures to curb the virus, ” he added.
Mwenefumbo distance the gesture to his political ambition.
“I am doing this not to win any favour or political gain as we are all aware that next elections are 5 years far but I have made this particular project out of many which I have implanted not to show off but to inspire others to do the same in their community with the little they have,” lamented Mwenefumbo.
He also donated isolated items to the grandmother who stays with her 5 grand children.
Malawi has now 338 covid-19 active cases following 51 recoveries and 4 death.
